Halloween is such a fun time of year, and there are many activities to do with families and kids.
J.E. Perry Farm off the Ardenwood exit in Fremont has a huge pumpkin patch, and admission for ages over 3 is only $1. They have a hay maze, a large hay bale pyramid that the kids love climbing, and many painted cut outs to take pictures that you will cherish forever. There’s a hut adorned with pumpkins on the outside and corn husks on the inside, and also a tire patch for the smaller kids to play in.. Run by Perry Farms, there’s a tractor ride that takes you through the farms where you can see all the crops–including strawberries, broccoli, cauliflower, corn and much more. Open from 9am-9pm during Halloween time, it’s a great place to spend an afternoon and get pumpkins–prices range from $3-$17. Don’t forget to stop by the produce stand on your way out for some fresh and delicious produce and honey!
If you want to do some early trick or treating and support our community, the city is putting on a Trick or Treat on Downtown Safety Street event. There will be carnival games, treats and fun activities for kids of all ages. Kids can safely trick or treat at fun miniature houses and the Fremont Street Eats and Food Truck Mafia will be there to feed everyone. Tickets are required and costs $8 for pre-registration and $10 at the event. Buy yours now online at Rege Rec!
The Fremont Hub is also hosting a trick or treat event on Halloween from 3-5pm. There will also be balloon artistry, face painting and more from participating vendors. The Hub is a great place to get all your shopping needs done, so why not support them in your costumes and take the family for some fun early trick or treating!
Whatever your plans are this Halloween, The J-Team wish you a safe and fun day with your families!
